Airy Walks

Whenever I feel troubled or I want to change my mindset I go outside and take a walk. I’ve found it’s a great way to get in touch with the magical element of air. Physically, walks increase our breathing rates and circulation, creating aerobic respiration on a whole-body, cellular level. Walks also have numerous magical applications as well. Here are my favorite hacks to do my “airy walks.”

  • While you’re walking, look up at the vast sky above you. Connect with how big it is in all directions. You may start to feel your energy expand and decompress as you take in its enourmous beauty.
  • Pagans and witches talk about the practice of grounding a lot, but hardly anyone talks about the magical practice of elevating. It’s just as important, and it can raise your energy and give you fresh perspectives. To elevate, align your mind or your upper chakras with eh sky high above you. Imagine that your arms are branches, adn feel them grow upward into the sky. Envision them being caressed by a gentle breeze. Allow these snesations to lift you up. Another way to elevate is to connect with a flying bird or a cloud passing overhead.
  • Trees, bushes, and other plants are so in tune with the element of air that even when there’s no breeze that we can feel, they may be dancing in an unseen wind. While walking, look for leaves or branches that are waving at you. Wave back at them or acknowledge them mentally. If you feel moved to do so, ask them for a message. They may just share some arcane wisdom with you.
  • As you walk, gather a ball of air energy around yourself. This is an uplifing experience that’s easy for anyone who has every played with a ball of energy in their hands. to gether a ball of energy while you walk, swing your arms naturally. Cup your hands slighty so that when your arm is moving backward and toward you, your hand brings energy toward the center of your body. Continue walking this way unti lyou’ve getaered a ball of energy around you that doesn’t seem to be growing any bigger. With a deep breath, breathe it in.

Send a Message through the Realm of Air

The element of air is always flowing, churning and blwoing new energy into our lives. Even when there’s no physical breeze in our world, the magical realm of air still rolsl through our world like a dense, never-ending fog made of spirits and energy. When we send our intentions into the world, we tap into this highly transmissive realm. The magical realm of air facilitates nonphysical communication.

Psychically sensitive people can send receive messages by being in tune with it.

Before beginning, there are a few things you’ll need to do . The first is to get permission from a friend to send and receive psychic messages with you. The second is to tune in to the ever-changing energy of the magical realm of air. Establish a general baseline of hte sound and the energy, and then practice filtering hte baseline out of your awareness while remaining connected with teh magical realm of air.

Whenever you want to send a message, call to mind the background energy of htemagical realm of air. It’s sort of like picking up a landline telephone and hearing a dial tone. Envision your friend’s face floatin gin the air before you, and speak a message in your mind. You may be tempted to shout your message to make sure it’s heard but a tone that sounds more like your natural speaking voice will probably be received more easily. As long as your voice stands out from the background energy of the magical realm of air, it should be fine. Your message will ride along the invisible, magical airwaves, and not unlike wi-fi, it will cross time and space and reach yoru friend an instant later. Imagine your friend receiving it and acknwleding it.

To receive a psychic message, pay attenting to when you sudden hear the background noise of the magical realm of air. Filter out the static and try to hear your friend’s voice. There are many ways to receive messages – some pwople receive audibly, and others feel messages. Learn which method you’re best at and use it to your advantage.

Discernment is sometimes necessary when receiving these kinds of messages. If hte mssage is harmless, like a request to pick up chocolate, you can probably trust the message enough without wondering whether it was sent from your friend or not. However, if hte message is questionable, be skeptical. Check with your friend to verify the message before believing it.

Think like a scientist: repeat teh process until you find methods that works best for you. Successful transmissions often depend on how sensitive you and your friend are and how open the receiver is at the time. Troubleshoot issues with actual communication and repetition.

Water

Water is a liquid, like the blood that flows through our veins. It is associated with the emotions, feelings, and the subconscious, and water magic is usually concerned with divination and scrying. Water plants are juicy and fleshy or grow near water, such as iris, lemon, and jasmine. [1]

Fire

Fire is the most mysterious of all the elements. It seems almost supernatural in comparison to earth, air or water, which are states of matter while fire is energy. Fire magic is concerned with creativity, life energy, and zeal. Fire gives us vitality, igniting action, animation, and movement. It sparks courage and acts of bravery. It heats passion and enthusiasm. Fire is the power of inner sight and creative vision, directing it and controlling it to make it manifest in the world. Fire plants tend to have fiery sap or to taste hot, like ginger, or have warm perfumes, like carnation, clove, and cinnamon. [1]

Earth

The powers of earth are concerned with what is manifest – the material, the fixed, the solid, the practical – and with what is rooted. Earth magic is concerned with manifestation, business, health, practicality, wealth, stability, grounding and centering, and agriculture. Earth plants tend to be nourishing or earthy-smelling, such as cypress and patchouli. [1]

Air

The powers of air are concerned with the intellect, the powers of the mind, knowledge (as opposed to wisdom), logic, inspiration, information, teaching, memory, thought, and communication. Like the other elements, the powers of air can be constructive or destructive. Air magic is usually concerned with the intellectual or hte spiritual, and in ritual air is symbolized through the use of perfume or incense. Air plants tend to be freshly fragrant, such as bergamot, lavender, lemongrass, mint, and pine. [1]
